Can You Say Exhausted?

Wow, I am tired.  We have been in a flurry of activity trying to get the house ready to go to market.  I can't even remember the last time I turned on my computer and that is saying a lot.  So, the update is that we had our Realtors come to the house, we signed the papers, the photographer came and took pics, and the house was listed on the 20th.  In addition to all that, we have been painting, cleaning, purging and generally making the house look ready to sell.  I am amazed at our level of stress, however, the good thing is that the kids seem to be adjusting well, except for my big guy who is not at all happy about our move.  I wish I could make things better for him, but it seems the only thing he wants is stay here and not "start all over with new friends."  I feel his pain but there is nothing I can do to take it away.  That is the absolute worse feeling a mom can have.

On the positive side, the house projects are really coming together.  Here's a look at what has been going on around the house over the past couple of weeks.

We had a painter come to paint the shutters and front door.  They used to be brown, but we switched it up and went with a wine/burgundy color.  I love it.  Love it so much, I don't want to move.  It seems I am saying that a lot lately.

I planted all of my annuals, including these in the containers by the front door.

We also hung some ferns under the deck.  John would want everyone to know that he was the one who purchased the ferns.

I have more pics I could share, but I will save those for another day.  If you are reading this, wish us luck and say a prayer that this move goes smoothly and turns out to be a good change for all of us.

I am off to get the girls their baths and get them ready for bed.  So, that is all I will say for now.
Wishing everyone a day full of little blessings...
:) Deb
