About

My name is Deb and I am a mom of four little blessings. Two of my blessings were born under my heart and two of them were born in it.  Our family in not formed by biology but by love.   Giving birth to my boys taught me about unconditional love and about the miracle of new life.  Adopting our girls taught me about the selfless love that can only come from giving life to a child and then needing to do what it takes to give that child the best possible life.  I have much fondness and respect for birth mothers.   Along the journey to our daughters, I learned about patience and faith and that God can bring you gifts when you least expect them.  I am married to a man that I met in college when we were only 20 years old.  Finding this hard working man of honor, faith and decency was an amazing blessing.  Marrying him and making our marriage work for many years has been my life's greatest blessing.

When I am not at home with my family, I spend my days working with some other amazing little blessings in  my roll as a pediatric speech language pathologist.  I have been practicing in the field since 1995 and have had the joy of working with many wonderful children and their families as they struggle with communication disorders. Being a part of their journey to overcome adversity gives me courage and fosters my desire to find blessings in the moments of every day.

This blog was started at a time when we were going through a major life change.  We were moving over 500 miles to a new city, a new house, new schools and new jobs.  I was searching for an outlet for my thoughts and emotions during this stressful time.  I was searching for a way to keep our family and friends up to date on  the happenings of our life as we relocated.  I wanted to find a way to document our house and our life for our kids, so that after we moved they could look back and remember.  And thus, Seeking Blessings Day by Day was born.

Wishing you peace and reminding you to find joy where it is planted and seek blessings day by day.

:) Deb
